At the trailer launch of Mere Husband Ki Biwi in Mumbai, Arjun Kapoor spoke about his character in the film, the real-life complexities it reflects, and even touched on his personal life and wedding plans. The actor, known for his versatility, gave insight into how the film uses humor to explore complex situations in relationships, making them relatable for the audience.
Speaking about his character, Ankur, Arjun explained, "Life is very complicated, and you can’t simplify it. A film can influence your equation with life. You can empathize with someone, and these are moments that you understand. The character I’m playing, Ankur, is unfortunately in a situation that he didn’t get into intentionally. He’s actually in this position, and I’m sure all of us have been in tough situations in life too."
He continued, "What we’ve done in this film is use humor. The situations that we explore are real, and if you can go back home and relate to them, it feels authentic. It’s real life with a dose of humor, making it easier to connect with."
Arjun further shared that the film’s strength lies in its ability to depict real-life scenarios while maintaining a comedic touch, which makes it resonate with the audience in a unique way. “It’s about finding humor in the tough moments, in the challenges that come with relationships. Humor becomes a way to ease the tension and make us reflect, while still keeping things lighthearted."
The actor also briefly touched upon his personal life, mentioning his plans for marriage. When asked about his wedding, Arjun said with a smile, "When the time is right, I will share the news with everyone. There will be no hesitation when the time comes, and when my wife’s time arrives, we’ll talk about it."
In Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Arjun, alongside his co-stars and director Mudassar Aziz, brings a fresh perspective to the genre, showing that humor can not only entertain but also offer insights into real-life situations we all encounter.
